Grace Queen

My paintings often rest at the intersection of time, the natural world, and the consideration of my position in both. Although my work favors realism, I abandon some of nature’s principals. I layer and compress spaces, allowing the viewer to recall moments as I do.

Grace Queen is an emerging artist from southeast Michigan. She recently received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan, where she developed her practice in oil painting. Throughout her time as an undergrad, she exhibited work at the Stamps Gallery in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the OXO Bargehouse in London, as well as other spaces. More recently, she has been Exhibiting work in group exhibitions at the Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, MI, the Anton Art Center in Mount Clemens, MI, and Hatch Art in Hamtramck, MI.
